What is the need to exorcise the ghosts of America from time to time?  In fact, about every 80 years in America's history, such a situation has had a global impact.  Once every eight decades, the United States is faced with such an existential crisis at home that it has to fight its way out.

First Crisis: 1781

America's journey began in turmoil.  The Revolutionary War, which took place between 1776-1783, began with an attempt to force the 13 colonies out of the British monarchy.  European superpowers got involved in this conflict.  They began to fight for their dominance in the sea and the territory of the colonies.

France entered the conflict on the side of the Americans.  Spain, Dutch Republic also took their sides.  European powers, including France, joined the Americans to avenge their defeat in the 1756-63 Seven Years' War and to challenge British supremacy.

Britain, on the other hand, increased its power in America by adding German mercenaries to its forces.  Because of this, Britain's alliance with Prussia remained intact during World War II.

Americans could not stay united.  Many sided with England and fought for the monarchy.  Americans were bitterly divided over whether the colonies should remain independent or part of the British Empire.

 Second crisis, 1861

Some 80 years later, the social and economic crisis centered on the slave issue culminated in the division of American society.  The modern factories that developed in the North began to pay workers better wages than slaves.

And the slaves in the south still had trillions of dollars in wealth.  They were the basic driving force behind the production of cotton and sugar, the main industrial products of that time.

These two models of development divide the whole country into two parts.  A divide also developed over values.  For some, it was economically beneficial for African-Americans to be freed from slavery.  Another section thought that if black people were freed from slavery, the economy would be destroyed.

Britain, on the other hand, increased its power in America by adding German mercenaries to its forces.  Because of this, Britain's alliance with Prussia remained intact during World War II.

It was not an isolated event from the world.  At that time the world superpower England was engaged in suppressing the Sepoy Mutiny (1857) in India and consolidating their power in the subcontinent.

At the same time they were involved in the Second Opium War (1856-1860) in China.  The reason for this is that America and France obtained large concessions from China in the opium trade.

After all, it was a decade of global conflict.  England very wrongly supported the Southern Confederates against the Northern Unionists in the United States.  Incidentally, in 1865, the Northern Unionists won this conflict.

The year 1861 laid the foundation of the American War of Independence.  Because there was still a significant amount of British involvement in America.

Third crisis, 1941

By 1941, America was once again firmly caught in the circle of crisis by becoming embroiled in World War II.  The US had considerable influence among the Fascists and Nazis.

America's greatest poet Ezra Pound was a fascist.  During the war he sat in Italy and carried on very useless anti-American propaganda.  Charles Lindbergh was perhaps the most popular American of the time.  Nazi Lindbergh campaigned on why the US went to war against Germany.

On the other hand, the movements of socialists and communists also became a threat to the United States.  Racist behavior against Jews and black people was rampant.

African Americans were no longer slaves, but they did not have equal status and rights in the majority white society.  Due to the crash market and Great Depression of 1929, the unemployment rate exceeded a record 25 percent.  The United States reaches the brink of another civil war.

The future of the United States is also divided.  Should they become involved in Europe's problems and once again support Great Britain or take the role of a silent spectator from afar?

The attack on Pearl Harbor broke the deadlock.  Fascists and Nazis were removed from the scene.  The Cold War that started after 1945, the United States tried to suppress and destroy the socialist movement.  America spent a total of 50 years through World War II and the Cold War to avoid a new civil war.  This period saw bitter and violent civil rights movements in the 1960s and 1970s.

The fourth crisis, 2021.

If the 80-year period is correct, the United States is now in its fourth crisis.  The crisis revolves around Donald Trump's 'Make America Great Again' movement and his candidacy as president.  Like President Roosevelt 80 years ago, current President Joe Biden is surrounded by the radical left and right.

If the previous three crises are any indication, a painful victory is likely to launch the progressive party into the future.  But it is not clear whether history will repeat itself this time.

As before, the fear of increasing the intensity of the global conflict is increasing.  The United States is now involved in two and a half wars.  Russia against Ukraine, Hamas against Israel, and the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.  In addition, the competition of the United States with China has also intennightmare

A balanced world has become important to the US for any time now.  It is becoming easy to see how the tension within the country is fueling the war.

The situation can get out of control.  A common consensus is needed to unite a deeply divided country.  Is it a war with China?  The United States and the rest of the world need wisdom to overcome this 80-year-old nightmare
